@Craiger: Thank You! I have many shots which are out of focus too. haha! The pelicans on the beach were constantly on the move and fluttering! Most of the time my camera was left set on aperture priority instead of shutter priority - oh dear!

@benjamin: They are pretty birds. I thought this one was a he because he/she is quite striking. Male birds usually are prettier than the femaies. The ones I thought were femaie were heavier and not so much colour around their heads, eyes and beaks. The feet are big (as I found out later when I stopped being scared of them and one stood on my foot).
Anne - I like your pelican - this is an excellent capture! I think he wanted some food from you! Good job!
