Spent a full afternoon going around these beautiful gardens in Victoria. Built either at the end of the 19th or very early 20th century, mostly on a disused quarry. I ran out of film before I had taken half of what I wanted to!
Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! If there is anything that I can change that really needs changing and I can do it in editing - then I will change it and re-post the photo! I promise I won't scream and shout or cry for very long!
My other photoblog has been started too! Anne's Galleries

@Manuela Photography: Yes! you are right! I think this was taken without the aperture stopped down enough. Definitely little detail in the flowers, etc. I think I posted the wrong one. I took about 3 of everything. Thanks for commenting and visiting :(
Anne - I love this image - the colors are so cheerful - love the contrasting green - great job!
Anne - I am overwhelmed at what you have done for Charlie! I do not have the ability to put into words how much this has touched me. I wish you could feel the gratitude behind the tears in my eyes. Thank you my dear friend! I will make sure that he sees this and Linda will be up shortly and I'm sure this will effect her the same way! A big thanks also to all the other members that wished him well on his birthday and now! Anne - may God bless your kind and generous heart!

@Jerry: Thank you for your comments about this image Jerry. The flower's could have had more focus though! I felt the gratitude in your message - you expressed what you felt so beautifully, and almost made me cry. It wasn't difficult or a hard thing to do. I just wanted you to know that we remembered how much you loved Charlie and understood what it must be like to have a son in that situation. I don't know what I would have been like if my sons had had to go to Iraq. The big mistake I made was I intended it to be a surprise - I should have asked the others to remove my message to them off their sites. I also put one on mine in case anyone visited mine that I hadn't asked. I forgot to remove that too before you got back on line again. Hope Charlie has finished out there and doesn't have to go back again!
Lovely colors... I would have also spend the afternoon there! Thanks for sharing this place...

@juant3: Thank you for your comment! This is just a small corner of Butchart's gardens - it takes a full afternoon to walk through all the different areas!

Hi Anne, I saw on Badala's blog that you made a web page to welcome home Jerry's son Charlie. I am also the mom of a soldier about to leave for Iraq on March 10th for his first deployment...would you please add me to the list of Aminus3 well wishers for Charlie's homecoming?
This photo is so colorful and happy. What a beautiful garden. Makes me long for spring and summer.
