STAR POND - BUTCHART'S GARDENS, VICTORIA

Almost at the end of my pilgrimage following dad's footsteps. He sent photos of all the Butchart's gardens back home to England in 1943 when he was in the RAF. They were b&W and some hand tinted. I took photos from the same spots he stood in through the Rockies years ago, when I lived in Alberta - but I never made it to Butchart's till last September.

Had a nasty fall early Sunday evening at a friends and now I've got a lump like an egg on my left cheek. I cannot use my right index finger because of swelling in the joint on the back of my hand. Thanks for all your comments - can't go around commenting on photos till the right hand is better. Switched my mouse to left-handed but I am a bit useless with that hand. Have a great week everyone !

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!
