These wild flowers are regarded as a nuisance! But up close, they are a really quite beautiful flower. I'm afraid it has to go though! My small patch of garden is completely overtaken by weeds since the winter. Never seen so many - think the hurricane force gales we had during the winter must have blown seeds from everywhere, right at me!
Thanks for all your comments on my "silly" picture yesterday - really appreciate them. Don't think I'll be able to get around everyone individually tonight. (Still Saturday here).
Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! If there is anything that I can change that really needs changing and I can do it in editing - then I will change it and re-post the photo!

The yellow looks very good on this shot. I can feel the warmth of the sun, Anne.

Looks very similar to the dandelion here...which people just can't stand, but I find quite pretty. But heck I think all flowers are pretty : ) Beautiful shot, love the details and the pop of yellow in the sea of green!!

Good contrast, nice lighthing, and great inspiration for me, as i am posting my flower series next. :) I agree with Jen here, all flowers are beautiful and on this one the yellow really pops out well on the green background.

Wonderful shot, Anne! The yellow does really pop from the green. Pretty soon my whole front yard (about 1 acre) will be a sea of this yellow. We just can't keep up to them... too many in the neighborhood who don't so how can we? ;-)

@amy: Thanks Amy! I have been experimenting with RAW. It is fantastic if you have a program that will work with it before you take it into Photoshop. You can do so much more with color, everything really without putting artifacts into the picture. So I got some extra yellow into the dandelion. All they do on the common area grass here is mow them off! But you've got a lot to manage there! You'll get a lot more too from other people especially if they have acreages full of them - too bad! Maybe you can take a Van Gogh, type photo of the whole sea of them! Then mount it on Canvas lol. ;)
what a beautiful, brilliant yellow - great shot Anne!

Great color.

They really are lovely even though they are considered a vile weed. My kids would make large bouquets for me when they were little. They were very easy to come by on my lawn.
Lovely details.
