The water was in the shade of the pilings of the pier and very dark, when this pair sailed into a patch of sunlight, before heading under the pier.

You got a bird's eye view of the gulls. Love how they are lit.

@Laurie: I liked the light so much I'm lucky I didn't fall over and in - they were so close to going under the pier and it was quite a height above them!

@Behrooz: Thanks Behrooz! I was hanging down over the pier at a funny angle myself to get them before they disappeared underneath.

Thank you Craig! I just wish I could have framed them not zoomed quite so close - because I can't crop the frame to keep them in the middle - not enough space around them without clipping one of there tails off. :-)
