LUNCH ON WEST BROADWAY, VANCOUVER

Had to go to Uncle David's, (Dentist) last Wednesday. We went early, and my daughter took me to lunch at Earl's. We were looking for one of the older establishments on this side of town - but parking was quite a problem so we ended up here where we could park. Sat in the indoor patio so we could see passers by.

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!

@Jen: Earl's is not a bad place to eat - just depends on what you fancy. There is an Earl's just not far away from home - but we didn't have time to walk a mile from where we were parked. We'd been fancying one of those old renovated warehouse type places or somewhere not quite so "glass and chrome" in this older part of the city. Thanks for dropping by :-)

@amy: I like going for Ribs to Earl's - but I was on my way to the dentist with a dental problem you know - so ended up with chicken fingers! lol! ;-)

Very well framed candid of daily life. Looks like you had all the time to set up for the perfect framing as none seem to be watching you. :) People out there just seem too hungry to even bother about someone shooting them. LOL!!

@Rahul: Nobody took one blind bit of notice of my camera - it's only if I use my flashgun anybody ever looks up. I guess they are used to people with cameras in Vancouver - a lot of tourists with them all the time! Of course, if I had really shot them, then I am sure somebody might have noticed ha! ha! :-D

hey Anne--this eaterie looks light and airy like a summer house--pleasant surroundings and I should think good food--I'd probably "borrow" one of those neat chairs on exiting to put in my garden--us Welsh boys hey!!--billy

@bronzebilly u.k.: Yeah! Good thing it was covered in with glass though! It damn well poured down while we were in there! They only had these chairs out here - they were more like splosh dining chairs in the inside part of the restaurant. Earl's isn't bad for food, but I find their menu a little bit limited - they are a restaurant chain, and lots of them all over Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We had hoped to get in somewhere a bit Old Style, since we were in an older part of the City! Twas OK though!
