IN LINE FOR THE FERRYPosted by Anne (White Rock, Canada) on 22 August 2007 in Transportation. Mary! This is where we were in line for the ferry at Tsawwassen terminal (20 minutes from home). The Horseshoe Bay Terminal has similar ramps, to different routes, for cars going on the ferry. We were waiting for the Ferry passengers to disembark - once they were all coming up the road on the left it didn't take long for us to drive down right into the huge parking lot on the car deck - hop out and then either take the stairs or an elevator to the passenger lounges. The lower 3 decks were for vehicles, trucks, buses and cars. So you see that the Terminals mainly consist of concrete supports and drive in lanes for the passenger traffic. You maybe will notice a glassed in (with a criss-cross pattern over the glass) long overhead narrow ramp - this is for walk-on passengers without a car. For anyone who didn't catch yesterday's post here is a link to the Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes! Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can! If you like my photos, please rank me on VFXY and/or vote for me in the [url=http://www.co
