Thank you everybody for visiting! Such a wonderful bunch of people here! I am finding it too difficult at the present time, to thank everyone individually - except maybe to answer a question! This should give me more time to spend on visiting other people's photoblogs and posting comments - hoping so anyway until my present circumstances calm down!

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!

@amy: Hi Amy! Thanks for your visit! This one was just done in Photoshop using one of a multitude of web backgrounds that I made a long time ago and the lasso tool on a begonia. My hands aren't as steady as they used to be for doing cutouts with the lasso thingy! The photo yesterday was made with a trial version of Paintshop Pro X2! I am having a lot of trouble running some programs in Vista - most of them work in general - after running the compatibility wizard - but there are bits and pieces that don't - for instance my Macromedia suite of programs including Dreamweaver MX to make my web pages are terrible. It won't make tables to contain the stuff on the web page - so having to hand code them all the time - my web site that I pulled apart is probably going to take forever at this rate to rebuild. I may end up putting XP back into this computer - replacing programs like Macromedia Studio MX is not a possibility for me (bought out by Adobe). I love the look and functions in Vista Premium - so I am having a big debate with myself about it. It's amazing, but all the cheapy programs run perfectly!!!!!!!

@bronzebilly u.k.: Thanks Billyboy! Value the praise from the master of effects! Trouble is even when the dust settles on Vista - it more than likely won't make all our older programs run any better. Apart from that I've solved a few of the problems and for the most part it's great . :-)
