A view of the smoke above the flames a couple of days ago - about 1½ blocks away from my home in White Rock. The site of the fire was lower lying than I was, but apparently the flames were higher than the buildings down there. It was soon put out and no one was hurt!

@M.E.: Thanks ME for visiting. Appreciate the comment.
Thank God! But the smoke made the sky so dramatic and I like that a lot!

@Behrooz: Thanks Behrooz for visiting! Glad you like it! It was a hard one to decide on because I took several shots at different zoom distances and angles! :-)
That is so scary. I remember when Rob was a baby watching a fire just behind my home at the time and worrying about it catching neighboring houses. The houses were really close together in that neighborhood, barely 10 feet from each other on either side. It was really scary.
I'm glad no one was hurt and the fire was put out quickly.

@Laurie: Hi Laurie! Thanks for visiting! Yes fires are scary - this one wasn't as close as it looks. But there was still a lot of noise, fire engines, ambulances just in case, police, and a police helicopter circling it!
Oh my goodness! that was close, thank God no one was hurt!
