The Tall Ships didn't have their sails up while anchored! The Europa was the largest of this fleet and very impressive . There were too many people when I boarded her and it was almost impossible to take photographs while on board.
Thanks a bunch for all your kind posts yesterday. I will get round to your blogs as soon as I can :-)
Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! If there is anything that I can change that really needs changing and I can do it in editing - then I will change it and re-post the photo!

Such a wonderful subject. Makes me want to go to Mystic Seaport. I haven't been there in many years. I think I am going to mark my calendar.

@Laurie: Thanks Laurie. You can see sailing ships like this at Mystic Seaport? Never heard of it - where is it? Its a rare sight here and there was much ado when these tall ships came a-visiting!
Holy cow!! Look at the crowds up there! No wonder you had difficulties trying to get shots. I'm surprised you were even able to board her.

@amy: Yeah! Holy Cow! I wouldn't have lined up in that mile or two line-up. My son-in-law's brother owns a ReMax - Steveston Real Estate and I guess they were one of the sponsors of the event, or some such thing. Anyway, we went into a pavilion near the line-up, had wristbands put on and were taken straight aboard! ;-)
That is quite the crowd! wonderful shot Anne...I really like the composition and framing

@Jen: Thanks for coming by Jen! The ships were great subjects for photos - especially against that great blue sky! It was taken with the first digital point and shoot cheapy (expensive at the time), but it worked OK when things weren't too far away. Useless for distance detail and the resolution was not good for printing either! But, I was happy enough with these ships that I posted. ;-)
Reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean. LOL. Woahh...so many ppl!!! Love the sky.
