WALK THROUGH WHISTLER VILLAGE 5

Same image as yesterday - Steven thought it would show more depth in the colored version: actually since I looked back at the original color version again, I remembered (and saw) that this shot had quite a bit of blur. Depth of field is OK exposure wise, but it has quite a bit of camera shake which is a little less noticeable on the 800 pixel width than the original. I think that is why I chose to play around with black and white filters on this one - never intending to post it anywhere! But here it is for better or for worse! ((I should delete this from my computer now - never to be seen again) Thanks for the criticism Steven - all comments are welcome! ;-)

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!

Lovely street view Anne...yes it is a bit blurry but I think it's fine.
That camera shake always gets me too, and you know what I never see it until I get in on the computer...drives me nuts because I think I had a good shot and I didn't argh!!

Looks like a fine region to me! I checked yesterday's shot and I like the color version better.

I too prefer the colour version. Gives it the joie de vivre that is Whistler! Really looking forward to seeing your shots from Banff!!! Get scanning woman!!!

@amy: I will, I will, I will! Soon as I can get my back to bend down and under into the bottom of this 7ft high computer station cabinet I've got! My scanner isn't hooked up - unplugged it again when I had my teething problems with Vista thinking that was the cause! It's dark too under that bottom shelf, with all the other stuff above it! My light is up above in the cabinet for my eyes you know, when looking at the darned monitor! Tell you what - I'll get some new batteries for my big flashlight! Tis the only way I can see the right holes to plug things into! The computer cabinet is in my bedroom - being in a one bedroom apartment - I don't have room for all my computer gear in the living room, and it would look like crap if I did! I hide it all in my wall units- they too went to line my bedroom walls because I didn't want to part with all that storage room when i moved in here! ;-)
