Whistler Gondola: lots of mountain bikers going up and down the mountain slopes in summer!

• Whistler is dominated by the twin peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
• Whistler-Blackcomb is the all-inclusive ski resort and adventure park whose trails are enjoyed by skiers, snowboarders, mountain bikers, hikers, lugers, snowmobilers and others throughout the year.
• Whistler is nestled in British Columbia's Coast Mountain range that stretches from the spectacular Howe Sound Shoreline up to Whistler.
• The Sea-to-Sky Highway, which follows the Coast Mountains, is considered one of the world's most scenic drives.
• Whistler's weather is seasonal, with up to 30 feet of snow on the mountains in winter, and average temperatures approaching 85 degrees during the summer.

PS for WelshBilly: Yeah! these coastal mountains are our smallest mountains - but when you have checked out the elevations above - remember that the Summit of Snowdon, at 3,560ft (1085m), is the highest mountain in England and Wales. Tee Hee, that's a flippin' mole hill!!

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!
