This is the most famous view of all taken in the gardens at Chateau Lake Louise. They used to say it is the most photographed view in the world - I don't know if that still holds!!! Postcards can be found in Calgary, Edmonton, and all the Souvenir Shops all over Southern Alberta with this view on them.
I'm going to have to take a day or two off from all this scanning. The scanning is not difficult but very time consuming getting the dust spots off afterwards - even though my scanner glass is cleaned and the prints - gets too much static build up! Will find time to go and have a look at all of your pics. Thanks for the wonderful support and all your visits during these mountain shots - even though the link to my blog was broken for awhile!
Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! If there is anything that I can change that really needs changing and I can do it in editing - then I will change it and re-post the photo! I promise I won't scream and shout or cry for very long!
My other photoblog has been started too! Anne's Galleries

Well looking at this, I can understand why this would be the view most photographed. These red tulips add such an amazing splash of brightness.

@Shuva Brata Deb: Close Shuva! It has to be early 80's. I bought my square format Bronica in 1981 and the proof print was 5x5 inches. But it had faded badly and the color off. So scanned this from an 11 x 14 print which was in my portfolio case, which is why the scan quality is not so good as the ones I could scan from smaller prints - too grainy and generally no so clear. The print is too big for my scanner and the edges on two sides had to be left sticking out of the scanner lid.
Well done! Is it a scan from an older photo? I was there 20 years ago and I can still hear the relentless noise of the tourist's cameras, so I think it must still be in the running for the most photographed view... P.S.: We can even find postcards of it in the post office here in Granby, at the other end of the country! :-)

This scanned wonderfully! Love that view!! It's changed a bit since this was taken. They've redone the walkways etc. Did you ever hike down to the end of the lake? Or up to the tea house? I have to the end of the lake...in winter and summer but have never made it up to the tea house. And here, too, in Rocky you buy the postcards for Banff etc. LOL
