YOHO NATIONAL PARK, BC - BIG HORN SHEEP

Posted by Anne (White Rock, Canada) on 26 February 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

After leaving Lake Louise - set off west and soon crossed from Alberta into British Columbia. Now in Yoho National Park. I was on my way up from the Yoho Valley to Takakkaw Falls which is a narrow, steep, road with hairpin bends. The road is only open 3 months of he year. I had to stop so a tour bus could get down around the worst bend of all, and then got out after I noticed this fellow sitting looking at me in the grass at the other side of the road. He just sat there quite contentedly. These sheep seem to like posing - pretty tame really! The original print had lost its color (fast photo processing) so have converted him to B & W.

See you all with more pics in a couple of days! Thanks to all of you for the support you gave me with yesteday's photo! So much appreciated. Am3 has such a great bunch of people! :-)

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!
