This view is on many of the Jasper postcards. It is only accessible by boat.
Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! If there is anything that I can change that really needs changing and I can do it in editing - then I will change it and re-post the photo! I promise I won't scream and shout or cry for very long!
My other photoblog has been started too! Anne's Galleries

It's a beautiful scene, Anne. Places like this can be remembered a lifetime.

If only by boat, then I am so glad you took us there visually. This is intensely beautiful wilderness.

Beautiful indeed, Anne! We're typical Albertans and have a painting of this(well, my Mom and Dad do). You've got another spot on this from scanning but I like how the b/w gives it such depth including the slight overexposure of the background mountains.

Wow, it looks like a wonderful place for a summer excursion...

That really looks to me like land unspoilt by “civilisation”. Truly a wonderful capture. It has the total feel of a haven in the wild. Priceless beauty.

Ah! That's why I didn't see this view; I didn't take the boat! It's a classic that works very well in mono, Anne.
I have one or two different views of this lake (and others) from a trip to this region. What a wonderful place to live.

@Colin: Thanks for visiting Colin. This is a very old scanned photo from when I used to get around the mountains regularly when I lived in Calgary,Alberta. I didn't get out to the mountains much after my husband died, even though it was only 50 minutes or so to drive from where I lived The originals of some of these I hadn't taken care of very well and this one was faded. After four more years I came out here to the coast to live, I have a daughter and family here and my sons live in the interior of BC in the Okanagon valley. I don't think I will get the chance to go back again there, none of the family want to drive so far (between 650 and 700 miles from here) They would rather go to Mexico. I do want to make another trip back to England though where I hailed from in 1967 - before I get too old and decrepit to get around and re-take all the photos I have of London and Yorkshire (I lived in Otley and Leeds before moving to Canada in 1967) which are on transparency film. Scanning a lot is for the birds once you have a digital cameral! :-)
