This particular whale is pregnant - so before too long they will be having a new baby at the Vancouver Aquarium. The whale like the dolphins cannot hear only by their "sonar" system. They respond to the trainers hand signals - even from under the water!

NICEly done, Anne! It's so hard to get a good shot of their white body without getting it so off-kilter you can't tell if they're grey, white, or just shiny!! Beluga's are my favourite whale. Whenever I get to Vancouver and the aquarium I just head straight for the Belugas downstairs and sit there and watch them. Fascinating creatures.

@bronzebilly u.k.: Thanks WelshBilly! She is big! I think I got better images at the aquarium this time with my Nikon DSLR. Last time I went they were on film but instead of printing I was having the local photoprocessing department send me an email link. When downloaded the resolution wasn't as good as I thought I had taken them. Then I learned after you get them on CD or as an email link to download, you can pay more for better quality digital images from film. This happened to the whole of my Vancouver Island Trip photos too - and I was blaming my camera!!! HAHaHa! Well! Guess what, the following Christmas my son sprang for the digital slr for me! I guess he took to heart what I said about that Nikon film camera!
Hey Annepal..it's a great camera...just don't keep it in your cabinet..it's got no door *-)) Bilywelshboyo...
