Wanna See My Broken Glass Door!!!!!

I've interrupted my aquatic life series - to post this one for WelshBillyBoy! Well! Billy - here it is!

Anybody got any ideas on what plain glass would look like on this centre door! I can't match it with the border pattern in the glass anywhere so far! Can you imagine how much dirt and dust will get in there without the door on. I could leave it six months or more and no dust with the door on.!!!

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!

@e.: Got a local cabinet and furniture repair person coming in to give me an estimate. The display items for the most part are sentimental value. Some are very old though and family treasures!

@Michael Skorulski: Well! I am going to leave it open for now until after the estimator has been to tell me how much it will cost to fix it. The glass I will tuck round the back - can't put it away anywhere else or it might get smashed more. I have a ton more china and crockery in the cupboards below too, and that was after giving a lot away when I moved to a small apartment! Thanks for your visit Michael! :-)

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine! The edge of the door at the bottom got the top of my foot is all, on its way down to the floor! :-)

Duct tape??

@amy: Hahahaha! I'd forgotten about how much a photographer used to value duct tape! I used it in the past to fasten studio lights to places that I couldn't use an alligator clip! In fact it had a 101 uses! ;-)

Good grief Anne, you are so luck you didn't get hurt!
I think plain glass is a great idea to keep the dust out, untill you can source the right etched glass.

@MaryB: Thanks for visiting Mary! Yes I think it will have to be plain glass! The company who made this in Ontario, Canada, is no longer in business. Aw! Well! at least it is in the middle and the two side windows will still match. I think I needed a photographer to take me looking surprised when I was left holding the knob in my hand! ;-)
