KALAMALKA LAKE FROM MY SONS BACKYARD DECK

Well guys! so sorry it has been so long! It's a long story! Dose of double pneumonia from a previous infection, after the flu', which hadn't cleared up. Got well enough to pack my bags to go for a planned vacation with my son Nigel, and his wife, Sharon. They live in Coldstream, 10 minutes out of Vernon, BC. The weather was gorgeous but got sick with allergies from too much seafood! Benadryl helped, and all my itching and scratching got better! Then coming home I wanted to get a view of the Fraser Canyon from a bit higher viewpoint - so stepped over a barrier onto granite gravel and slipped - onto bigger lumps of granite! So although I still have a few of the bruises and scratches - I am alive! Yeah!
This photo is one that my significant other, Peter, wanted to show to a friend who used to live in coldstream, There is an awful sun flare on it and I should have had my lens hood on! I had a go at selecting the area for a little while last night and not much success in blending the colour into the rest of the photo. How would any of you tackle this problem??

Meanwhile thank you all so much for all your comments on my post before I went away for a while - really appreciated it. Nice to be back but its too hot where my computer is. I have to get an air conditioner fixed in here to be able to stay longer. The humidity in my apartment is dreadful! Will catch up with posting to everyone soon as I can!

Well! I am back and missed being away so long due to ill health. It was a bit of a struggle to find energy to stay on my computer and post. My daughter Lesley and her husband Robin, gave me this wonderful gift of a cruise to Alaska and Lesley and I had a whale of a time! I could just live on that ship - absolutely wanted for nothing! Hope to hear from you all! Don't know how much I can get around posting comments - so will probably have to keep them brief - but will try to get around as much as I can! Thanks to all my friends for their good wishes!

Please go ahead and give me constructive criticism where needed! I am a bit out of practice at both taking and editing decent photographs - so help me if you can!
